Writing Samples

All of my work as a technical writer was proprietary at the time I wrote the documentation. Some of the work is now shareable since the products and/or companies no longer exist. Where the documentation remains under NDA protection, I have removed company names and changed product names as needed. The following samples are PDFs set to open in a new browser tab.

Ascentia 900N Quick Start – This two-sided sheet greeted users when they opened the box containing their new laptop. We knew we had to rethink traditional user manuals for the new generation of portable computer users, so I worked with the technical illustrators in our department to create this document. 

AWS Installation and User Guide – This guide for included procedures used to perform management functions at operator and data centers running our directory assistance software. 

Secure Document Portal Invitation, Confirmation, and Consent Flow Diagram – I created this flow diagram to depict part of the workflow for a mortgage lending company’s new electronic signature software. 

Secure Document Portal User Guide – I wrote this user guide for the Secure Document Portal that provided loan officers with a way to request information from borrowers and enabled borrowers to deliver their documentation securely online.
